Teupen will unveil four new product developments at Apex in September, including two spiders a truck and a trailer lift.

The spider lift introductions are developments of the company’s existing Leo 15 and 18 GT into premium specification ‘Plus’ models – the Leo 15GT Plus and Leo 18GT Plus. The 15 Plus will replace the current Leo 15GT, while the 18GT will run alongside the plus model. The new models include a new stabiliser and articulated jib design among its enhancements and joins the Leo 25GT Plus.

18 metre truck mount

The new Leo18GT Plus superstructure has also been designed to be fitted to a 3.5 tonne truck to create the EuroB18GT. Weighing 3,240kg it is just 2.3 metres high and offers 8.5 metres outreach with 200kg platform capacity. The detachable cable remote controller allows the lift to be operated from either the basket or, via plug

New 13 metre trailer lift

Teupen has taken its Leo13 GT lift mechanism and mounted it to a trailer to crate the Gepard 13GT. The new model includes one-touch automatic stabiliser levelling, a detachable basket and easy-to-use two joystick cable controls and traction chassis drive. Power comes from a 24 volt battery pack with charger, while Honda petrol or an AC mains power sources are also available.

New Fuzzy controls

Teupen also says that it will unveil a new control box/system at Apex which it is calling ‘Fuzzy IV’. The key element of the new station, which will be shown on a Leo 25GT Plus, is a new information system, complete with graphics that it says is easily to read even in direct sunlight.

The company says that by rationalising the design to introduce commonality across spider, truck and trailer product lines the company has been able to bring all of its production back to Germany.

Teupen chief executive Michael Wotschke said: “Now that we have shifted the entire production to Germany and have a high degree of component similarity, we are able to transfer our high standards of quality and safety to the trailer and 3.5 tonne truck-mounted segments”.

“The same first-class lift design with the same comfortable control and handling can now be introduced in the entire fleet. This means operators are trained in the concept once and from then on are familiar with the lifts no matter if trailer-, truck- or track-mounted. The same benefit is, of course, created in technical support, service and spare parts logistics.”
