Bobcat has launched a new range of hydraulic hoists and jib extension for its telehandler range – the hoists are rated to 3.5 or 4.0 tonnes and 600 and 1,000 kgs and can be combined with a four metre jib. They meet or exceed the latest ISO 430 1–1 classification T4, L2, M4.
The company say that the new attachments are designed for applications in construction, general industry and maintenance and allow the telescopic handler to perform the functions of a crane, but with all the advantages of site mobility and versatility typically provided by the telehandler.
Using the hoist and jib attachments, the telehandler can be used to position loads in places which are difficult to access conventionally using the boom on the telehandler alone. The hoists allow the raising and lowering loads without having to move the boom and are fitted with a proportional control system for precise positioning of the load.
The hoists have a usable 24 metres of 12mm wire rope and offer a maximum speed of 21.5 metres per minute. Correct rope winding is ensured by a spring tensioned roller, small rake angle with guide pulley and a grooved drum (complying to EN-14492-2). The extra wide block prevents lines from twisting.
The hoists are available as both factory and dealer-installed options. The hydraulic components of the hoist are protected by a cage. They are also equipped with a fail safe brake in the event of a hydraulic failure.
A removable stand is supplied to support the hoist, keeping it clean when in storage and for easy handling and carrying, the stand is equipped with pallet fork slots.
