Wigan, UK based One Stop Hire has opened a new location in Widnes, Cheshire, its largest location to date and the company’s eighth.

The newly-refurbished, 560 square metre (6,000sq.ft) operation is also the company’s first ‘greenfield’ location since the acquisition by the Hitchens of the assets of Power Supply and SJS Tool Hire in October 2009. It be staffed by local people with a wealth of knowledge in the area and the industry.

Managing director Steve Hitchen said: “We are delighted to have opened our first organic depot in Widnes. Our location on Waterloo Road is ideal for our existing client’s sites in the area, as well as the many local building, petrochemical and engineering companies. It is also strategically placed to complement our existing depots in Blackpool, Preston, Wrightington, Wigan, Bolton, Manchester and Liverpool.
