Right from its foundation in 1921 in the French region of Marne-la-Vallée,
Ponticelli Frères has been recognized as specialists in material lifting.
The steady development of techniques and materials causes the company to
evolve and enter into several market sectors such as piping and mechanics,
and thus becoming a major worldwide supplier of services addressed to the
oil, petro-chemical and energy industries.
Ponticelli’s abilities in material lifting are based on a unique know-how and
a suitable fleet of machinery, which is constantly being updated and
overhauled. The latest retrofit project consisted of the installation of a
wind speed sensor into a hydraulic crane.
Ponticelli had asked ESCAL to find a suitable retrofit solution.
ESCAL, our French dealer for the brands of HIRSCHMANN, PAT and KRÜGER, proposed a solution based upon the new Hirschmann Wireless Console iSCOUT PRS 85 and the Wireless Wind Speed Sensor iSENS WSS-W1.
The competitive price of the proposed solution (no additional cable reel
was required), the low installation and calibration costs as well as the
good support provided by ESCAL resulted in Ponticelli’s decision for the new
Wireless Technology from Hirschmann.
