Hirschmann at MINExpo International 2008

MINExpo International 2008 was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from September 22 – 24.

This year’s event included over 1,200 exhibitors that occupied over 600,000 square feet of exhibit space, making this show 30% larger than MINExpo International 2004. In addition, approximately 40,000 attendees were present at the show.

The business unit Electronic Control Systems of Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH various systems and sensors geared towards the mining professional. The main focus of the show was the introduction of our new Scalable Mobile Control System to the mining industry. Other products on display included the iSCOUT expert compact, iSCOUT PRS80, iVISOR PSA with large numeric display, and sensors (load, angle, length).

During the three day show, there was a high level of activity and interest shown in the booth particularly in the area of weighing systems and load sensors. Visitors to the booth included a variety of mining companies, OEM’s and dealers from twenty-five different US states and seventeen foreign countries.
