GIS celebrates its premiere

GIS (GIORNATE ITALIANE DEL SOLLEVAMENTO), the first trade show specifically for cranes and lifting platforms in Italy took place in Piacenza from the 11th to the 13th June 2009. Conferences and technical information events took place in addition to the trade show and the popular demonstration area offered scope for practical machine applications. Exhibitors included machine manufacturers, retrofitters and OEMs and the visitors came mainly from Northern and Middle Italy.

Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH had a joint presence with their Italian dealers Parenti and CSI as well as their service departments. The focus was on launching SMCS and a range of wireless sensors. Coming back with a bag full of orders, Hirschmann was pleased with the first ever GIS and is already looking forward to 2010.
