Hirschman Automation and Control at the ANKOMAK in Istanbul

ANKOMAK 2008 took place in Istanbul from the 25th to the 29th of April. It is the most important construction machinery exhibition for Turkey, Asia Minor and the Middle East. Presented in five halls with a spacious outside area, well known international manufacturers enjoy exhibited in the perfect environment. Hirschmann’s Electronic Control Systems business unit was represented by Vincmak alongside the Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG), Sany and Zoomlion.

Hirschmann’s iVISOR mentor system in HK225

Hirschman’s iVISOR mentor system which is especially developed for the requirements for Turkish lorry mounted telescopic cranes was very well-received. Interested visitors could take a closer look at the powerful electronic load moment indicator (LMI) at the stand of the Turkish market leader for crane production, Hidrokon: The top model HK225 with a crane load of 75 tons was already equipped with the mentor system – a promising start that will lead to great market success. Exhibition visitors were also very interested in the standard retrofit LMI system MK4E/2. Both systems were demonstrated with all their functionalities on display boards.

Turkey takes 5th place in Europe

The Turkish construction machinery production takes 5th place in Europe in 2008. In addition to a flourishing crane industry, the growing production of diggers, dredgers and wheel loaders are the driving force for continuously successful sector development. Consequently the ANKOMAK is today the 4th largest construction machinery exhibition in Europe. We are looking forward with anticipation to the ANKOMAK 2009.
