Hirschmann Exhibits at the M&T Expo in Sao Paulo

The 2009 M&T Expo was held June 2 – 6 at the Imigrantes Exhibition Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The show is held in Sao Paulo every three years and serves the construction and mining industries in Latin America.

This year’s event included over 436 exhibitors, up from 288 in 2006, which occupied over 85 thousand square meters of indoor and outdoor exhibit space. The M&T Expo attracted over 41,000 attendees, up from 34,000 in 2006, from 32 countries.

Hirschmann Automation and Control occupied a 5 x 5 meter booth space and displayed systems and sensors for cranes in the construction, mining and port/harbor industries. The Scalable Mobile Control System was introduced to the Latin American market for the first time. Other products on display included the iSCOUT expert compact, iVISOR mentor QVGA, iSCOUT PRS 80, and the iVISOR maestro. Booth graphics and literature we displayed in both English and Portuguese.

Over the five day show, Hirschmann experienced a high level of activity with the primary interest being in systems for mobile cranes. Visitors to the Hirschmann booth included crane manufacturers, crane rental companies, crane service companies and crane end users from nine different countries and 16 of the 27 states in Brazil.
