For more than 50 years SENNEBOGEN has enjoyed an outstanding reputation worldwide in the field of materials handling. By means of intensive development work the company is in a position to offer a broad range of highly modern, high-performance materials handling equipment custom built to the wishes and requirements of the customer. The ‘Greenline” series too stands out because it offers extensive operational possibilities. The loading systems are now equipped for the first time with the iSCOUT mentor QVGA load moment indication system (LMI) from Hirschmann Automation and Control.
Flexibility and maximum benefit for the customer come in first position for SENNEBOGEN when any new equipment is being developed. This concept is also mirrored in the tested ‘Greenline’ products. Therefore, either to meet the customer’s wishes or the requirements made by regional governments, the iSCOUT mentor QVGA LMI systems are to be installed for the first time in the loading equipment of the type Greenline 880.
Reliability and permanent availability are of the highest practical importance in the field of materials handling. With the installation of the iSCOUT mentor QVGA LMI systems, SENNEBOGEN is therefore putting its trust in tough, high-performance technology which stands out for its durability, low-maintenance and the highest precision, even during the toughest operations. The advantages offered to SENNEBOGEN customers are clear: on the plus side of the balance sheet there will be greater efficiency and lower costs due to the ergonomically perfect working environment and intelligent diagnostic systems. At the same time SENNEBOGEN and its customers will profit from the global service network offered by Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH which ensures the high standard of equipment support and availability of spare parts.
The iSCOUT mentor QVGA LMI system consists, amongst other things, of a graphics display, pressure transducers on the main luffing cylinder of the boom, as well as angle sensors on the joints of the boom system. The communication between the individual components is effected via CANopen. The load moment monitoring system compares the actual load with the maximum values entered in the load tables. The actual load is calculated on the basis of the geometrical measurements of the boom system and the pressure difference in the main luffing cylinder. Along with the switch-off in overload conditions, a monitoring of the working environment with a warning function has also been installed as an integral component. An event recorder documents short-out and system failures, as well as overload situations.
Experience to date has shown: with the superior and reliable technology of the iSCOUT mentor QVGA system, Hirschmann Automation and Control can make a powerful product such as the ‘Greenline’ series even stronger. The cooperation with SENNEBOGEN should therefore be a positive experience in the long run for both sides and all customers from the field of materials handling will profit from this.
