Hirschmann's Competence Center in Ettlingen concentrates on Consultative Selling & Services

Competencecenter

Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH created the new Competence Center department in Ettlingen on the 1st January 2009. The Competence Center combines the Consultative Selling & Services functions which are already highly valued by Hirschmann’s customers and partners. Consultative Selling, System Integration, Field Service and Training are the main focus of the Competence Center. The goal is to optimise the use of resources in order to achieve perfect products and services to give added value to the client. Michael Schuh has been appointed as the Competence Center Manager.

Consultative Selling

stems from the core competence, application: applications experts from Hirschmann offer their advice from the very beginning with cost-benefit analyses such that they are in a position to objective recommend the most advantageous solutions.

System Integration

draws on the core competence, development: efficient development teams are responsible at Hirschmann for quality and meeting deadlines by devising and integrating system solutions.

Field Service

represents the core competence, service: well-trained and practically experienced field team from Hirschmann offers a wide range of after-sales services for customers and partners. The most important tasks are the professional installation and commissioning on-site as well as rapid and reliable function diagnoses.

Training

stands for the core competence, customer benefit: training and workshops for customers and partners on product applications and technologies as well as application programming and commissioning underpin the quality of Competence Center and make the added value offered by Hirschmann all the more tangible.

Michael Schuh, 45, is an experienced engineer and has been working for the company for 17 years. He started in 1992 in the Electronics Development department and made the change to Head of Project Planning in 2001. From 2004 up to the turn of the year 2008/09, Mr Schuh was Head of Applications as well as working in OEM Key Account Management.
