New Hirschmann operator consoles for Mobile Applications

Neue_Konsole_iSCOUT

The new generation of iSCOUT operator consoles from Hirschmann Electronic Control Systems (ECS) has been specially designed for the Scalable Mobile Control System (SMCS). The modular console concept provides three customized solutions at an optimal price/performance ratio:

A cost-effective solution is the monitor console with the graphical CPU integrated in the control system. The stand-alone version has an integrated graphical CPU which is connected to the control system using standard communication. The console with an integrated PLC control is a compact solution for small applications.

The consoles have a 4.3" (430 x 272 pixels) or 7" (800 x 480 pixels)
color display and can be mounted in horizontal or vertical orientation, as surface or built-in type.
Operation is very straightforward using a touch screen, function keys or rotary pulse encoders.

The application software of the control panels can be programmed
using either special projecting tools or CoDeSys (IEC 61131-3).
According to individual customer needs, Hirschmann can implement tailor-made program libraries for control and safety functions. On request, Hirschmann will carry out the entire system integration, including the design and compilation of the relevant application software.

All solutions support Ethernet and various CAN protocols, and comply with EN ISO 13849-1 and the requirements of the new Machinery Directive.

High reliability in extremely harsh environments

Reliable operation is ensured in the extreme temperature range of
-30 to +70 °C. An IP67 housing can be provided for use under extreme environmental conditions, exhibiting high resistance to shock and jarring.

Thanks to its versatility and the rugged design of the components, the SMCS, which comprises not only the new iSCOUT operator consoles but also the controllers of the iFLEX series, is ideally suited for use in cranes and other mobile machinery.
