From the 5th to the 9th March Samoter will be opening its gates to visitors for the 27th time. This specialist show for earthmoving and construction equipment takes place every three years at the Exhibition Centre in Verona and is not only the largest specialist show for construction machinery in Italy but also one of the most important in Europe. For this reason, the show enjoys an enormous stream of visitors from all over the world on every occasion.
The last event in 2005 was a huge success for Samoter. The show recorded a growth of 15% in exhibitors and 6% in visitors: 94,550 visitors from the industry from 94 countries beat the path to Verona and about 10,000 of these came from abroad.
From the 5th to the 9th March 2008 Samoter will be presenting a wide range of equipment and technical expertise on offer. The two new exhibition halls, which the Verona Exhibition Centre consecrated in April of last year, are now available to Samoter as an extension facility: 2 pavilions with a floor area of 25,000 square metres. The areas which offer the greatest attraction for visitors are earth-moving, machinery for road building and maintenance, cranes and lifting systems, concrete, mining technology and ditching equipment, as well as raw materials handling.
Hirschmann will be exhibiting at Samoter in Hall 9, Stand A2, and will be presenting intelligent systems solutions in the area of control and security technology from the brands Hirschmann, PAT and Krüger.
The Samoter show will be supported by several parallel initiatives. One of the highlights is the International Samoter Award which is given for extraordinary operations in the construction sector. Over and above this, Samoter is also giving the Samoter New Technique Award which is seen as an approved showpiece for innovation and improvement in the sector.
On the occasion of Samoter 2008 the Samoter Tour is to be created. The exhibition company offers help in opening up new European countries in which there is increasing interest in the restructuring and formation of new infrastructures. Along with Bulgaria where the first stage of the tour took place in September 2006, there is also a programme for workshops in Rumania, Poland, Russia and Turkey, as well as B2B meetings.
