The CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE 2011 shows were held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from March 22 to 26 with record breaking participation. With more than 2,400 exhibitors on over 217,000 square meters of exhibition space, the combined show devoted to all facets of the construction industry was North America’s largest industry event since 2008. Approximately 120,000 industry professionals from more than 150 countries attended the CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE 2011 expositions to learn about the industry’s newest equipment, products, services, and technologies.
One of the main focuses of the IFPE show was sensors – and in that category, the Scalable Mobile Control System (SMCS) was a featured product. Hirschmann MCS impressed visitors not only with the versatility and performance of this control solution, but also with its security standards. With the slogan “HIRSCHMANN |Solutions built on experience”, the company showcased the components of the Scalable Mobile Control System; the controllers, consoles and their special capabilities attracted considerable attention from visitors. As shown from the interest at the show, the Scalable Mobile Control System opens up new dimensions for automating mobile systems.
The great success of the show was also reflected in the number of people who participated in events. Hirschmann MCS held a Dealer Conference highlighting the aftermarket version of the SMCS. During the conference, the Top Sales 2010 Award was presented to Crane Warning Systems. Hirschmann MCS also sponsored the Top Simulator Trophy at the Crane Rodeo which was won by Brian Showalter.
