Alex Lee joins Hewden

Alex Lee, previously with SGB and Access Rentals has joined Hewden Access as a key account manager, based at its Glasgow depot.

Lee managed SGB’s powered access division until the group decided to close it down and exit the business. He then joined Access Rentals in December 2008 as managing director, departing after the business went into administration.

Lee established Access Rentals (Scotland) which while having connections with Access Rentals was a separate business. He continued to operate the business after Haulotte acquired the English business but found it increasingly difficult.

By late last year he had decided to close the business, via a voluntary and orderly liquidation. According to Companies House the business is in a ‘Pre dissolution’ state and was to be struck off the register, but this appears to have been blocked by one or more creditors.

Hewden was asked to confirm the appointment with a release and/or comment but has so far not responded.
