Terex Cranes has appointed Frank Bardonaro as vice president and managing director for Terex Cranes in the Americas. For the past nine years, Bardonaro has been president and ceo of American crane rental company AmQuip, a post he resigned from at the end of last month.
Based at the Terex offices in Westport, Connecticut, he will have direct responsibility for the Americas region. Bardonaro takes over from Marco Gentilini who moves to the newly created position of vice president, Cranes Business Integration Projects.
“We are extremely pleased that Frank Bardonaro is joining Terex Cranes,” said Rick Nichols, president, Terex Cranes. “Coming from the distribution and operational side of our industry, Frank’s considerable knowledge will be a great asset to our Terex team as we develop even stronger dealer and customer relationships supported by superior aftermarket services. Frank will play an important leadership role as we continue building the Terex Cranes brand and our product offerings.”
Prior to his position at Amquip, he was operations manager for Maxim Crane Rental and is currently the chairman of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SCRA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Hanover College.
